A new driveway between three council brush boxes

The challenge
A redevelopment in Miranda replaced two driveways with one central driveway, beside a lacebark elm and three brush boxes on council land, with a neighbour's Canary Island date palm close to the rear boundary.
What we did
Assessed the street trees and the trees across both lots, recommending which to keep and which to remove (including a listed weed, silverleaf cotoneaster).
Set a tree protection zone for every kept tree, to be drawn to scale on the working and demolition drawings.
Recommended root mapping on the new driveway line and hold points for the certifying arborist.
Required at least one replacement tree for every tree removed.
